Claypot Pork Rice with Shrimp Paste

Claypot Pork Rice with Shrimp Paste Recipe | Buffalo Cookware Malaysia
  • 200gm Pork Belly
  • 1 Tsp Mince Ginger
  • 3 Cups White Rice
  • 3 Cups Water
  • Chopped Coriander
  • 1 Tbsp Shrimp Paste
  • ½ Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Egg White
  • 2 Tbsp Water
  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Chicken Stock
  • ½ Tsp Sugar
  • ½ Tsp Sesame Oil
  • (boil All Sauce Ingredient In Low Heat And Set Aside)


  1. Wash pork belly and pat dry. Place in fridge for 1 hour. Remove from fridge and cut into thin slices.
  2. Add all seasoning (except for oil) and mince ginger to the pork slices and mix well. Add oil at the end and mix again. Place pork slices on a plate and set aside.
  3. Wash rice and drain. Place rice and water into inner pot and select ‘rice’ function.
  4. Cooked for 10 minutes then place meat directly onto the rice and continue cooking.
  5. Add in coriander and mix well with the rice to incorporate all the ingredients together. Add in sauce (according to personal preference) and serve.


Leave it with the lid on for 5 minutes after the cooking done.
