Herbal Mushroom Chicken Soup

  • 1 chicken (use old hen/old female chicken)
  • 10 dried shiitake mushroom (soaked in water)
  • 50gm poria(fu ling)
  • 30gm dried chinese yam (shan yao)
  • 30gm codonopsis root (tang shen)
  • 30gm astragalus root (huang qi)
  • 50gm dried figs
  • 12 seedless red dates
  • 1800ml water
  • Salt (to taste)


  1. Wash and rinse chicken and all the ingredients thoroughly.
  2. Put all ingredients into inner pot and add water. Select“Porridge/Soup” function, adjust cooking time to 2 hrs.
  3. Seasoned with salt to taste and serve.
