Ingredients
- 600gm pork ribs
- 1 pork belly
- 1 fresh chinese yam
- 30gm lotus seed
- 10 red dates
- 1600ml water
- Salt (to taste)
Method :
- Prepare a pot of boiling water. Place ppork ribs and pork belly into pot and cook briefly. Remove from water and set aside.
- Peel skin off chinese yam and cut into chunks. Soak in water.
- Soak lotus seeds and remove the developing sprout from within if any, by prying open the halves with a small knife.
- Put pork ribs, pork belly, lotus seed, red dates and water into inner pot. Select “Porridge/Soup” function and adjust timing to 2 hours.
- After 1 hour, remove pork belly and add in chinese yam.
Ingredients :
- 1 cooked pork belly
- 1 tbsp mince garlic
- 1 tbsp mince coriander
Seasoning :
- 2 tbsp Taiwanese soy paste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp black vinegar
- ½ tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp water
Method :
- Pork belly removed from soup and set aside to cool. Cut into thin slices.
- In a bowl, combine mince garlic and coriander with all the seasoning. Mix well and pour the mixture onto pork belly slices.
Ingredients :
- 1 broccoli (cut into florets)
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
Seasoning :
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Shao Hsing wine (chinese rice wine)
Method :
- Place broccoli on steamer rack and place into inner pot on the final 5 minutes indicated on the countdown timer.
- In a saucepan, heat oil and stir fry garlic until fragrant.
- In a bowl, combine all seasoning and fried garlic and mix well.
- Once complete, take out broccoli and pour sauce over broccoli and mix well.
